_{She was acting unfit for the foal of a king,

Her actions all stemmed from one foul changeling.

Shining's fair princess, no longer a saint,

Blew off his warnings and tagged with spray paint.

He knew that much later, when push came to shove,

She'd regret befriending one hungry for love.

You'd think with her mark she would act more mature,

But her defiance Shining could not endure.

Enraged, he forbade her from seeing his sister,

Heedless of Twi's tears and cries of how she missed her.

She'd later ditch the queen and grow out of this phase,

But she'd lost sight of Twilight for a good many days...

Everyone in their teen years has that phase where you feel particularly rebellious, why shouldn't princesses?
There isn't much of a headcanon here, but I like the idea of a young and brave Shining Armor, with those dreams of glory in his head, who falls in love with the rebel and reckless girl.
What will he choose, love or duty?

Wow, this is fantastic! I love the designs for them. And I'm assuming that this happened before Cadence babysat Twi...but then when she dropped the act she offered to take care of Shining Armor's little sister in order to regain his trust and she ended up loving the job. :-D
